Frankie Mears

Frankie has been with 1st Class since 2021 as our Administrative Support. Having been a 1st Class parent before becoming a member of the staffing team, she has first-hand experience of how committed,compassionate, and deeply caring the 1st Class team is. In addition to holding her diploma in Early Childhood Education and Development and a bachelor's degree in Community Rehabilitation and Disabilities Studies, Frankie is currently pursuing her Master of Counselling. She has over 20 years' experience in working with children, youth, and families within a variety of settings which has afforded her the opportunities to work with individuals experiencing relationship conflicts, mental health conditions, severe emotional and behavioral concerns, self-harm and harm to others, poverty and homelessness, incarceration, substance abuse and addiction, crisis and emergency situations. Frankie is passionate about working to better our greater community, actively contributing to our communities and consistently holding herself to highest of professional standards.

Frankie works with the other members of the management team as well as our Collaborative Intervention Support Services (CISS) to support the delivery of our extraordinary programs. In her time away from work, Frankie enjoys spending time with her family and friends camping, exploring our city, traveling, developing relationships and strengthening bonds.


Kerri Single

Ms. Kerri has worked with children for the past 20 years in Early Intervention. She has a passion to support children and help them reach their highest potential within any learning environment. Ms. Kerri is working with 1st Class as the Early Intervention Liaison as well as Education Support, providing hands on strategies, modelling, ideas, training and encouragement for children with behavioral needs. Ms. Kerri also supports 1st Class Educators and families to create consistency for the child struggling with tools and ideas for success.

When Ms. Kerri is not helping little humans, she is enjoying time with her two girls outside, in the garden or at the beach! A few side hobbies include playing slo-pitch, ice hockey, camping, gardening and baking!
